"No Ethical Consumption Under Capitalism"
INTRODUCTION
COLLAGE, ADVERTISEMENT, PHOTOGRAPHY, POSTER
One of the biggest industries in the world is the garment industry. There are a lot of ethical concerns related to fast-fashion in today's capitalist economy. Issues involve underpaid workers, unsafe labor conditions, harsh and harmful chemicals used in the process of producing, and more. This poster comments on the fast-fashion culture and the fact that many large brands are ignoring the problems and ethical concerns their supplier chains are going through.
I created a poster series that experiments with and combines source material and photography that I found at the Pratt Library into a digital portrait to convey a message about fast fashion.
