Based on the Invisible Cities, by Italo Calvino, this illustration is a depiction of the imaginary city of Zenobia. Zenobia is described by houses made of bamboo sticks that are suspended in the air with ladders and pulleys. The houses have cone shaped roofs. It’s a place where everyone is happy, a place anyone would dream to live in.
