Type Experimentation
INTRODUCTION

TYPEOGRAPHY, EXPERIMENTION, COLLAGE, MIXED MEDIA
In order to experiment and understand typography, I worked with everyday objects to create letter form sets. To further my experimentation and analyze the relationship between type and form, I worked through processes of digitization to create typographic collages.
PHYSICAL EXPERIMENTATION

I initially started off with finding everyday objects which I could use to make letters with. Some everyday objects which I worked with include ketchup, paperclips, hairpins, sponge, string, aluminium foil, cardboard, lace, and q-tips. It's interesting to see the intersection of type and materials.
I created two digital letterform sets. One resembles a loopy and handwritten style while the other one gives off a more rigid and structural feel. I took photographs, scans and played around with projections to experiment with the type.
